LOS ANGELES -- Just under 1,300 high school football players descended upon Veteran’s Memorial Stadium in Long Beach at the second-largest Nike Combine so far on the ’10 tour. Many stood out, but only 25 can make the 15th All-Nike Combine Team of the tour.

Selections are based upon combine performance and projected college recruitability. Athletes must have completed two of the four combine tests to be eligible for selection.

QB: Marcus Mariota -- 6-3, 186, St. Louis (Honolulu, Hawaii)
Results: 4.58 40, 4.16 shuttle, 35-0 PB, 33.8 VJ, 101.73 SPARQ Rating
Breakdown: Will get under center for St. Louis for first time this fall, but has size and athleticism.

RB: Todd Handley -- 5-8, 178, Martin Luther King Jr. (Riverside, Calif.)
Results:
4.54 40, 4.37 shuttle, 41-0 PB, 44.0 VJ, 127.38 SPARQ
Breakdown: Ran for 1,343 yards and 16 touchdowns last fall and has added 25 pounds of muscle since last year.

RB: Kyle Lewis -- 6-1, 180, Downey (Downey, Calif.)
Results: 4.49 40, 4.06 shuttle, 43-0 PB, 36.0 VJ, 127.86
Breakdown: Was oft-injured last fall, but nation’s best SPARQ Rating should make schools to take notice.

RB: Taylor Wooten -- 5-9.5, 188, Palo Verde (Las Vegas, Nev.)
Results: 4.59 40, 4.19 shuttle, 38-5 PB, 37.3 VJ, 112.92 SPARQ
Breakdown: Las Vegas always represents at the Long Beach Nike Combine and Wooten was Sin City’s best on Saturday.

WR: Duke Bukoski -- 6-0, 192, St. Louis (Honolulu, Hawaii)
Results:
4.74 40, 4.06 shuttle, 37-5 PB, 33.3 VJ, 105.33 SPARQ
Breakdown: All-State wide receiver topped his SPARQ Rating from earlier Honolulu Nike Combine by nine points Saturday.
 
WR: B.J. Kelley -- 6-1.5, 169, Central (Fresno, Calif.)
Results:
4.53, 40, 4.32 shuttle, 32-0 PB, 41.7 VJ, 102.00 SPARQ
Breakdown: Underrated prospect caught 38 passes for 758 yards and eight touchdowns last fall. Eastern Michigan has offered.

WR: Delshawn McClellon (Class of ’12) -- 5-8.5, 151, Gahr (Cerritos, Calif.)
Results: 4.49 40, 4.15 shuttle, 32-0 PB, 36.3 VJ, 97.92 SPARQ
Breakdown: Rising junior has some big-time speed and quickness and caught 74 passes for 879 yards and seven touchdowns last fall.

OL: Andrew Albers -- 6-7.5, 267, Costa Mesa (Costa Mesa, Calif.)
Results:
5.45 40, 4.93 shuttle, 37-0 PB, 20.9 VJ, 60.99 SPARQ
Breakdown: Can’t coach 6-foot-7. Albers gave up zero sacks a year ago.
 
OL: John Archuleta -- 6-4, 272, Green Valley (Henderson, Nev.)
Results: 5.50 40, 5.00 shuttle, 39-0 PB, 25.7 VJ, 71.67 SPARQ
Breakdown: One of the Silver State’s top prospects and tested like it Saturday.

OL: Kiki Faatiliga -- 6-4, 307, Moreno Valley (Moreno Valley, Calif.)
Results:
5.65 40, 4.99 shuttle, 35-5 PB, 23.2 shuttle, 67.50 SPARQ
Breakdown: Big mauler has drawn early interest from Oregon State and Boise State.

OL: Dylan LaFrenz (Class of ’12) -- 6-4, 266, Los Osos (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.)

Breakdown: Athletic underclassman upped his rating 24 points from a year ago.

OL: Phillip Mose -- 6-5, 320, Poly (Long Beach, Calif.)

5.98 40, 5.23 shuttle, 41-0 PB, 23.4 VJ, 82.08 SPARQ
Breakdown: Monstrous prospect is top lineman at tradition-rich Poly.

ATH – Samuel Boyd -- 6-2.5, 231, Roosevelt (Corona, Calif.)
Results:
4.65 40, 4.20 shuttle, 39-0 PB, 35.7 VJ, 119.79 SPARQ
Breakdown: Absolutely passes eyeball test and has bright future as WR/TE or linebacker on defense.

DEFENSE

DL: Mershad Dillon -- 6-1, 242, Santa Maria (Santa Maria, Calif.)
Results: 4.91 40, 4.50 shuttle, 33-5 PB, 28.7 VJ, 79.98 SPARQ
Breakdown: Athlete played some quarterback and running back last year, but has future along D-line, where he registered seven sacks.

DL: Donavon Lewis -- 6-2, 235, Clovis West (Fresno, Calif.)
Results:
4.93 40, 4.47 shuttle, 40-0 PB, 27.9 VJ, 90.42 SPARQ
Breakdown: Immovable object had 40 tackles for loss and 19 sacks last year. UNC, Clemson, NC State and others have offered.

DL: Nick White -- 6-5.5, 247, Valley Christian (Chandler, Ariz.)
Results:
5.09 40, 4.85 shuttle, 36-5 PB, 25.6 VJ, 69.57
Breakdown: Earned all-region honors while helping Valley Christian to 2A state title last fall.

DL: Luke Wood -- 6-3.5, 228, El Dorado (Placentia, Calif.)
Results:
5.06 40, 4.79 shuttle, 40-0 PB, 30.3 VJ, 81.87 SPARQ
Breakdown: Earned All-CIF honors last fall and has a chance to play defensive end in college as he continues to add weight to his frame.

LB: Shaquille Moseley -- 6-2, 217, Edison (Fresno, Calif.)
Results: 4.69 40, 4.69 shuttle, 30-0 PB, 37.0 VJ, 85.74 SPARQ
Breakdown: ASU and UNLV have already offered this Central Valley standout.

LB: Tyrone Sauls -- 6-1, 220, Christian (El Cajon, Calif.)
Results: 4.97 40, 4.56 shuttle, 37-5 PB, 31.5 VJ, 83.97 SPARQ
Breakdown: Earned all-county and Second Team All-State underclass honors last year. Oregon State and Air Force have offered.

LB: Aaron Wallace Jr. -- 6-3, 213, Rancho Bernardo (San Diego, Calif.)
Results:
4.71 40, 4.28 shuttle, 41-0 PB, 35.9 VJ, 116.40 SPARQ
Breakdown: Linebacker MVP at the TCU Nike Camp earlier in the year and recently picked up first offer from Texas A&M.

DB: Jacoby Carter -- 5-8, 171, Diamond Ranch (Pomona, Calif.)
Results:
4.59 40, 4.41 shuttle, 30-0 PB, 33.5 VJ, 79.89 SPARQ
Breakdown: Ran one of the few 4.5-second 40-yard dash times on the day and looked good in drills at the USC NFTC on Sunday.

DB: Cortland Fort -- 5-11, 163, Etiwanda (Etiwanda, Calif.)
Results:
4.57 40, 4.13 shuttle, 37-0 PB, 36.6 VJ, 106.83 SPARQ
Breakdown: Totaled 37 tackles and four interceptions in 2009 as a junior.

DB: Ryan Henderson -- 5-10, 170, Rancho Verde (Moreno Valley, Calif.)
Results: 4.52 40, 4. 01 shuttle, 34-0 PB, 44.0 VJ, 120.33 SPARQ
Breakdown: Henderson added 19 points from his SPARQ Rating a year ago and has the athletic ability to play corner in the Pac-10 somewhere.

DB: Jesse Sampson -- 6-0, 186, Bishop Alemany (Mission Hills, Calif.)
Results: 4.82 40, 4.44 shuttle, 41-0 PB, 33.2 VJ, 97.20 SPARQ
Breakdown: Physical safety had 90 tackles last fall to earn all-league and second team All-CIF.

ATH: Jeffrey Escoe -- 5-10.5, 202, Rialto (Rialto, Calif.)
Results:
4.69 40, 4.12 shuttle, 35-0 PB, 34.3 VJ, 103.47 SPARQ
Breakdown: SS/OLB totaled 57 tackles in seven games last fall.
